Still Life Hints
But I want to get into Skalnik's office while he isn't there.
1 of 16: You'll first need to visit Skalnik legitimately, and talk with him.
2 of 16: After finishing your conversation with Skalnik, you'll see Skalnik leave the office.
3 of 16: Talk to Stasek again.
4 of 16: Seems that he's giving you a hint, when he mentions the men who have been working on the side of the building.
5 of 16: Walk outside, and around the left side of the building, by the gate that Skalnik left open.
6 of 16: Enter through the gate. Hmm.. maybe this scaffolding could be helpful.
7 of 16: If only there was something around to help Gus get up on the scaffold.
8 of 16: What would really be handy would be a grappling hook.
9 of 16: But in the absence of one, perhaps Gus can "contrive" one.
10 of 16: After all, a grappling hook is nothing more than a length of rope, with something heavy at the end to catch and hold securely.
11 of 16: Look around the scaffolding to see what the workers might have left.
12 of 16: Have Gus try to climb the rope. Oh-oh -- it broke off from the pulley. Perhaps Gus can still use the rope, though.
13 of 16: For the grapple, look around the gate area.
14 of 16: Take one of the heavy blocks of wood outside, and to the right of, the gate.
15 of 16: Combine the rope and wood in inventory to create a grappling hook.
16 of 16: Make sure that Gus is standing close enough to the scaffolding for the "action" hand icon to appear in the upper left of the screen. Then, select the home-made grappling hook from inventory, and click the "Use" button.
