Still Life Hints

Any hints on how to proceed?

  • 1 of 3: As you slide rows and columns of squares around, be careful that you do not block further movements with a misaligned row or column.  When any row or column of three pieces is to one side or the other of its normal middle position, the metal shaft that is "pushing" that row or column may be blocking one or more other perpendicular rows/columns.
  • 2 of 3: The key pieces cannot all be moved up at once.  You will need to move them individually, concentrating on one at a time.
  • 3 of 3: The primary concept is to move a key piece upward to the next row by raising one of the columns, slide the piece out of the way, return the column downward (but this time containing all rings), and then slide the key piece back into the row, now one position higher.  While this is an oversimplification, that is the general progression to use.
