Still Life Hints
How can the mini-robot unlock the door?
of 9: When the scene shows the mini-robot in the archives room security corridor, there will be four directional arrows showing in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. These arrows can be used to manipulate the mini-robot.
of 9: It is important to understand that the arrows show directions *relative to* the mini-robot -- not absolute directions relative to the room.
of 9: Therefore, clicking the up arrow will make the mini-robot move forward -- in whichever direction it is currently facing -- and not necessarily "up" the screen.
of 9: Similarly, the right and left arrows will cause the mini-robot to pivot to the right or left; and the down arrow will cause it to turn around 180-degrees.
of 9: Consider the floor to consist of a grid of squares. Each click of the up arrow will cause the mini-robot to move forward one "square".
of 9: To unlock the door, the mini-robot will need to get close to the electronic lock at the right-hand side of the door.
of 9: Fortunately, the mini-robot can climb vertical walls! (You did read the manual, didn't you?)
of 9: Have the mini-robot walk to the door, and climb up even with the electronic mechanism.
