Starship Titanic Hints

How do I get the perch that the parrot is using?

  • 1 of 17: Listen to what the parrot has to say.
  • 2 of 17: He seems interested in two things -- pistachio nuts and chickens.
  • 3 of 17: Maybe you could use one of those items to distract the parrot long enough for you to get its perch.
  • 4 of 17: In this case, you want to find a chicken for the parrot.
  • 5 of 17: Try carrying the chicken to the parrot, and you'll find that he won't eat it because it's gotten cold.
  • 6 of 17: You're going to have to find a quicker way of transporting the chicken to its destination.
  • 7 of 17: The Succ-U-Bus is made to transport items quickly.
  • 8 of 17: Try using it to deliver the chicken.  Remember to save the designer room chevron while you're in the Parrot Lobby.
  • 9 of 17: If you act quickly enough, you can then receive a hot chicken from the Succ-U-Bus.  If the chicken is cold when you receive it, then you probably took a little too long to put it in the Succ-U-Bus.  Try again, but be a bit quicker the next time around.
  • 10 of 17: Now, feed the chicken to the parrot.  To do so, take it out of your inventory and hold it on the screen until the parrot responds.  I would advise you to save your game at this point -- getting this puzzle correct can be a bit tricky, and you probably don't want to go through all the steps necessary to get a new chicken each time you try the puzzle.
  • 11 of 17: The parrot has the same tastes in food as the Succ-U-Bus.
  • 12 of 17: So you'll have to take the sauce off the chicken before the parrot will eat it.
  • 13 of 17: Just use the napkin again to clean the chicken.
  • 14 of 17: Now, you're ready to use the chicken as bait.
  • 15 of 17: Notice that if you position the chicken to one side of the parrot, the parrot will walk over to the chicken.
  • 16 of 17: Try moving it to the very left edge of the screen, and leave it there until the parrot starts eating the chicken.
  • 17 of 17: You have to be pretty fast, but while the parrot is eating, grab his perch quickly.
