Starship Titanic Hints

What's wrong with the instruments in the music room?

  • 1 of 15: Have you noticed a recurring theme with the bots on Starship Titanic?
  • 2 of 15: All of their settings seem to be off.
  • 3 of 15: And it's your job to fix them.
  • 4 of 15: Look at the control panel in front of the instruments.  Try playing with that to see if you can get the instruments playing correctly.
  • 5 of 15: Press the red button in the bottom-center of the panel to start or stop the instruments.  The four yellow buttons turn instruments on and off individually.  The other controls determine exactly what the instruments play (they set pitch, speed, and tune).  But once you've started the instruments with the red button, you have to stop and restart them for those controls to have any effect.
  • 6 of 15: There's no way to change the upper-left controls (for the chimes).
  • 7 of 15: You could solve this puzzle through trial and error if you have a good musical sense.
  • 8 of 15: Or you could just look around for the answer.
  • 9 of 15: It's actually in pretty plain sight.
  • 10 of 15: Have a seat.
  • 11 of 15: Or at least take a look at the chairs on your left as you're entering the room.
  • 12 of 15: Does the pattern look at all familiar?
  • 13 of 15: It's showing you the proper layout of the instruments' controls.  Position the controls on the panel to match them.  As mentioned previously, you can't do anything with the upper-left set of controls, so don't worry if you can't make them out on the drawing.
  • 14 of 15: You can also find a picture of the correct settings on the back of the box that your game came in.
  • 15 of 15: And make sure to turn all of the instruments back on before restarting their performance.
