What do I make out of these symbols on the viewscreen?
1 of 8: If you fail the puzzle once, you will get a big hint about how it operates.
2 of 8: You want to make the three lines all add up to the same amount.
3 of 8: In specific, the horizontal lines are the ones that matter.
4 of 8: The shapes are each associated with a number.
5 of 8: For most shapes, it's the same as the number of sides (a triangle is equal to 3, a diamond to 4, and so on).
6 of 8: The circle is equivalent to the number 1.
7 of 8: Pick the shape out of your four choices that gives you the proper number of sides.
8 of 8: The answer to the first puzzle is the diamond. The triangle will solve the second puzzle.
