Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Hints
How can I get past the sealed doors in the ruins?
of 11: You have to deactivate them with the computers in the rooms to the east and west.
of 11: Sadly, in both of the rooms there is a really overpowered ancient droid.
of 11: The droid in the eastern room uses a flamethrower, and the droid in the western room uses an insanely annoying weapon that freezes your characters for a few seconds and damages them.
of 11: The best way to deal with the droids is probably to activate energy shields, and hit them with Force Whirlwind if you have it. If you don't have whirlwind, try to hang back and stay healed until they stop using their special weapons, and then engage them in melee with your lightsabers.
of 11: At the back of both of the rooms, you will find an ancient computer terminal.
of 11: To activate them both, first talk to the computer, then insert your datapad, then talk to it again.
of 11: The one in the eastern room will ask you for the three primary life-giving world types, the one in the western room will ask you for the death giving world types.
of 11: The life-giving types are oceanic, grassland, and arboreal.
of 11: The death-giving types are volcanic, barren, and desert.
of 11: Do NOT mess these up or you will have to fight the ancient droid again for less XP, something you really don't want to do.
of 11: Once you've deactivated both seals, go through, and find your first star map.
