Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Hints
How can I free Carth, Bastilla, and myself from the holding cells?
of 16: Before you get taken onto the Leviathan, you'll have chosen one of your party members to come rescue you.
of 16: The party members all start in different spots, but what you have to do is the same for all of them.
of 16: The only different one is if you chose T3-M4 you'll have to solve a small mathematical puzzle to get free.
of 16: I found HK-47 or Canderous to be the easiest members to use, since they have good firepower (if you equipped them) and heal themselves (at least if you repaired HK-47 some).
of 16: Start by going down a ramp to where a Sith guard is patrolling. Take him down, and take the cell key from his corpse.
of 16: Then go to the left to the cells. In the last one on the left, you will find a rodian who's willing to help you.
of 16: Open his cell with the key, and he'll give you an ICE Breaker to use to hack a computer.
of 16: Don't go into the room at the top of the cell hallway -- it's filled with Sith troopers and they will easily overwhelm one person.
of 16: Instead, go to the room near where the guard was patrolling.
of 16: Inside are two wimpy technicians. Kill them, and use the ICE Breaker on the computer.
of 16: You'll need to create some kind of distraction for the troopers in that room.
of 16: Go to the cell block camera, and open the cells. This will sound an alarm drawing out the troopers.
of 16: Then engage the emergency riot control system to gas everyone. Yay, no more troopers.
of 16: Go into the room they were in, and find a passkey in a footlocker.
of 16: Go up the ramp leading to the left, kill the technicians at the top, and use the key to open the door to the Detention Terminal.
of 16: Use the computer to open the cells, and you'll be free, hooray. You'll automatically run to the room with all your equipment -- it's in one of the lockers, be sure to grab it.
