Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Hints
Dark Side Powers
1 of 4: As a Dark Side jedi you will be relying less on your force powers to enhance your abilities than to flat out damage your enemies. Force powers are much less important to a dark jedi than to a Light Sider, but their usefulness is still not to be underestimated.
2 of 4: Since you'll probably be doing a lot of fighting, a very important power is Force Speed. It will eventually garner you two extra attacks, and with two lightsabers and flurry, you can get 6 attacks per round with it (not too shabby).
3 of 4: Basically all of the damage dealing lines of force powers will be useful. The Choke and Lightning lines are both handy for dealing extra damage. Force Kill is an excellent power since it both stuns them dealing damage, and leaves you to attack as well. The most useful Dark Side power is probably Death Field, though you can't get it until level 18. It will heal you a lot while also dealing a lot of damage to everyone nearby.
4 of 4: You might want to consider getting the Insanity line of powers as well, since it does a nice area stun. It's not all that useful, though, because the really powerful enemies that you will actually need it on will not have much trouble resisting it.
