Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Hints
What can I do in the tomb of Ajunta Pall?
of 16: If you talk to the nearby students, you can learn that retrieving the sword of Ajunta Pall will gain you some prestige.
of 16: So go into the tomb.
of 16: Eventually, you will find your way blocked by a large stone pillar.
of 16: Search the severed arm nearby, and you'll find a datapad telling you how to get past it.
of 16: Use the pillar, and plant a grenade in it to destroy it.
of 16: Unfortunately, this will activate the assault droids across the bridge.
of 16: You can't get to them, so just run across the bridge. Pull the lever there to destroy all the droids.
of 16: Then go through to Ajunta Pall's tomb.
of 16: Inside, open up the tomb, and Ajunta Pall's spirit will appear.
of 16: He's not a very happy spirit -- just tell him that you want his sword, and he'll tell you to take it, but that you have to put the proper sword in the nearby Sith Statue for it to become his real blade. He'll then give you a hint as to which of the three blades in his tomb the real sword is.
of 16: It's pretty obvious if you examine them -- he talks about darkness and one of them has an insignia of a darkened moon on it.
of 16: The proper sword is the notched steel sword. Put that in the statue and you'll get his sword. Now there's a slight branching of things you can do.
of 16: On the way out, you'll run into Shaardan, who wants to take the sword from you.
of 16: You can either fight and kill him (he's easy), or you can trick him.
of 16: If you want to trick him, just give him one of the two fake swords from Ajunta Pall's tomb. There's no reason at all to give him the real one.
of 16: It's not a bad idea to keep the sword, as it's one of the best melee weapons in the game, but if you want you can bring it back to Master Uthar for some prestige.
