Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Hints
Where am I supposed to go on Malachor V's surface?
of 9: Your immediate goal is to find your way from the Ebon Hawk's crash site to the "Malachor depths" entrance.
of 9: Head SE to get to a long bridge, which leads west to the area with the depths entrance.
of 9: WARNING: Watch out for green-tinted gas vents that can spew as you go over them and poison you. Either avoid them, run over them quickly, or use Breath Control regularly. (And remember that Master Heal cures poison.)
of 9: TIP: You'll want to wander around and find all the corpses to loot and storm beasts to kill. They're powerful, but they do mostly melee damage, so use melee shields and Master Force Barrier while fighting them. Also try to hit them with your best offensive Force power(s) before they close to melee range.
of 9: TIP / WARNING: Be *sure* to kill off all the storm beasts with your Jedi now so that you don't have to mess with them later with a totally wimpy character.
of 9: The depths work pretty much the same as the first surface area, with the same kind of gas vents, corpses, and storm beasts.
of 9: Make your way west and around until some doors close, trapping you in a large area with a powerful "greater storm beast." You can use pretty much the same battle tactics against it as you've used against the regular storm beasts -- just make sure you go in at full health with a melee shield and Master Force Barrier on, since this beast hits a lot harder than the smaller ones.
of 9: After the Great One is down, keep going along until you reach Trayus Academy, where a bunch of Sith assassins will graciously bow you in. How nice of them!
of 9: Unfortunately, it's then another sudden uncalled-for pain-in-the-neck character-switch combat. (If you're Light Side and got Mira as a companion -- otherwise, you lucked out.)
