Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Hints
I'm back for the big finale. How do I do it the Light Side way?
of 18: Start by finishing off all the Vaklu-supporting soldiers who attack you after your transport lands. (Remember to use energy shields to protect against blaster fire.)
of 18: TIP: Kreia is great in a supporting role in battle, so pause the game as soon as battle begins, switch to Kreia, and change her little white-and-purple behavior icon to "Jedi support" and click on it.
of 18: Then make your way to the NW corner of the merchant quarter, where the entrance to the Sky Ramp is.
of 18: On the Sky Ramp, prepare yourself for a couple of big battles with blaster-wielding soldiers before you can relax and explore around.
of 18: NOTE: Stay away from power couplings, since the enemy can overload them when you're near so as to cause you damage.
of 18: Enter the nearby barracks to find some fellow queen-supporting troops, two of whom will be assigned to follow you around. With them and Captain Bostuco, you've got six people in your party now!
of 18: The next obstacle is the force field that's blocking progress to the northeast.
of 18: When you run into the room beyond the door, the drexl larva will have just breached the throne room's main force field. Fortunately, its handler will then lose control of it and get killed.
of 18: After thrashing the drexl beast, you'll have a chance to use Battle Meditation to rally the Royalists (if you have that Force power). Do that, then run in and start hacking on enemies, or just run forward until the cut-scene where Master Kavar runs in happens.
of 18: After that cut-scene, take your time to heal up and look for remains to loot (all through the palace, if you want), then approach the queen and General Vaklu to start a fight with Vaklu and his remaining men.
of 18: TIP: If you've finished all the other planets, and Kavar is the last "lost Jedi" that you need to meet, then right before you approach the queen and general is your *last chance* to upgrade your personalized lightsaber power crystal with Kreia. Run back to the palace entrance and return to the Sky Ramp, where you can use a workbench in the barracks. Remove the crystal from your lightsaber, talk to Kreia to upgrade it, and then put it back in the saber. Then return to the palace and slice up the general with your new, improved lightsaber!
of 18: All you have to do to win is defeat Vaklu himself. If you have an energy shield in place, you can just ignore his blaster-wielding backup troops.
of 18: When that's over, Kreia will advise killing Vaklu. The best choice is to say it's the queen's decision, since that way you gain influence with Kreia without condemning a man to death yourself. You can then persuade the queen to let Vaklu live for trial, or you can just stay silent and let him be executed (and raid his body for items).
of 18: After that, talk to Master Kavar and ask him whatever you want to. When you're done, he'll teach you a new lightsaber form and then head off to Dantooine.
of 18: You'll then be taken back to Dxun on Mandalore's "basilisk" ship and dropped off next to the Ebon Hawk.
