The 7th Guest Hints
Altar Maze (Chapel)
1 of 11: Your goal is pretty simple -- reach the green square in the upper-right corner of the puzzle.
2 of 11: Okay, so it's a bit more complicated than that. You need to time your arrival at the green square so that some blocks are ready to fall.
3 of 11: The rules are a bit tougher, of course. It will be a bit easier to explain this puzzle if your pretend that you're standing on the puzzle and walking from block to block.
4 of 11: There's a pattern as to when the blocks fall into the pit. The same pattern also tells you how to move around the board, so it's pretty important.
5 of 11: The pattern is numerical.
6 of 11: And it relates to the colors of the blocks.
7 of 11: The pattern is also activated only after tiles have fallen down, and only the square that you're standing on when blocks disappear is important.
8 of 11: Take note of the colors of the squares and how many steps it takes for the blocks to fall.
9 of 11: After you step on a purple square, you get three steps before the blocks that you just stepped on will fall down. Remember that only the color you were standing on when other blocks fell down matters.
10 of 11: After stepping on a gold square, the blocks will fall down after two steps.
11 of 11: And you only get one step after a blue square.
