Knights Puzzle (Bathroom)

  • 1 of 11: There aren't too many strategies to this puzzle, other than to make educated guesses.
  • 2 of 11: For one, you should try to finish the far left and right sides of the board first.  The corners are especially good starting points.
  • 3 of 11: Then you want to think a few moves ahead.  Try to make moves that let you keep white pieces on the left and black pieces on the right, and look for moves that let you move the location of the empty square without disturbing too much else.
  • 4 of 11: Coming is one solution (probably not the most efficient) to the puzzle.  I use standard notation for this UHS file to describe the piece to be moved.
  • 5 of 11: A4, C5, B3, A5, C4, E3, D1, B2,
  • 6 of 11: C4, A3, C2, E1, D3, C1, E2, C3,
  • 7 of 11: B1, D2, C4, E5, D3, C5, B3, A1,
  • 8 of 11: C2, A3, C4, E3, C2, E1, D3, B4,
  • 9 of 11: A2, C1, B3, D4, E2, C1, B3, D4,
  • 10 of 11: B5, C3, E4, D2, B3, D4, E2, C3,
  • 11 of 11: D5, E3, D1, C3, D5, B4, A2, C1, E2, and finally C3.
