Tales of Monkey Island Hints

How do I get the Noble Sea Horse artifact?

  • 1 of 11: This is the one the two pirates are arguing about on Spoon Isle. They're arguing about who gets to go bury the artifact, how childish! They won't give you the artifact --
  • 2 of 11: -- but if you can stop the argument, they'll go bury the thing, and surely it will be easier to retrieve it without them standing there watching you. But how do we find it once it's buried?
  • 3 of 11: What you need is something inside the chest along with the artifact that would make it easier to find when underground. You don't have a tracking device --
  • 4 of 11: -- but you do have that annoying pyrite parrot. That would do the trick nicely.
  • 5 of 11: But they won't let you just put it in there; you'll have to trick them somehow.
  • 6 of 11: Okay, so the artifact and the parrot are both in the chest, which has been buried somewhere not here. Where?
  • 7 of 11: It's not one of the three Jerkbait Islands, so you'll need the Screaming Narwhal. Take the raft back to Spinner Cay, repair your ship's mast if you haven't already, and set sail.
  • 8 of 11: You can go to any of the islands you see, except Flotsam Island (where the winds won't let you land) and the Rock of Gelato (where Guybrush won't let you land). That leaves three tiny little spits of land: the Isle of Ewe, Boulder Beach, and Brillig Island. Try them all.
  • 9 of 11: The one you want is the one where you can hear the pyrite parrot talking to you --
  • 10 of 11: -- Brillig Island, which is at the far northeast (upper right) of the map.
  • 11 of 11: Before you go, notice the odd palm tree at the right. Try to pick up the coconut if you want to see what makes it so odd. D'oh!
