Is this game okay for my kids?
Pretty much, yes. Guybrush may be a pirate, but he's not a real bloodthirsty one. That is, he talks tough on occasion, but his sword fights are fought with insults, his grog is watered down, and he only ever seems to steal from other pirates. On the other hand, this time around, there are more deaths than there have been before -- but nobody seems to mind, and only a few of them are actually permanent.
Chapter 1 of the game is rated Everyone 10+ by the ESRB (the main game rating system in the US) if such things matter to you.
