Tales of Monkey Island Hints
How do I win this battle?
of 9: Try the trick with your rubber tree mast again. It worked in the fight against McGillicutty, right?
of 9: De Cava will fire at Guybrush wherever he goes. To make him bounce one off the mast, click on it to make Guybrush duck behind it.
of 9: This takes out De Cava's cannon, but only temporarily -- he apparently has an endless supply of them in the ship's hold. You have time to do one thing before the new cannon is in place and the whole thing starts again.
of 9: And De Cava's entire ship is made of rubber trees, so nothing you do will damage it in any way, even though you can use inventory items in the cannon.
of 9: What you need here is a bigger friend to help you out, and I mean REALLY big --
of 9: -- like big enough to swallow the whole ship.
of 9: Do you suppose any of the manatees you saw underwater are hungry? You do still have that seahorse head.
of 9: Click on the mast to destroy De Cava's cannon, then use the seahorse head on the cannon to drop it in the water and attract a manatee.
