Tales of Monkey Island Hints
How do I get Bugeye's vote?
of 10: Bugeye can be found down right past Noogie punching the ... well, whatever anatomical feature that is. He says he won't vote for you until you can beat him in a face-off contest. Play one to see what the heck he's talking about.
of 10: To win this game, you need to make a face using three elements not used before in this particular game. Playing the first time gives you three elements, the three just used by Bugeye, but that's all you have in your repertoire, and if you use them back at him you just lost. You need to go gathering faces.
of 10: First, talk to all the pirates and say "ARRR!" to each one. This will gain you three more elements, from Noogie, Moose, and Morgan. (Murray can't help -- no lips, see.)
of 10: De Cava won't play, but he does mention that drinking yellow bile makes his eyes spin. Try giving him a mug full of the stuff.
of 10: He won't drink it; it's yellow, and he wants ichor, which is orange. Do you have a way to make him see yellow as orange?
of 10: Grab his monocular off his work surface and combine it with the red Eye of the Manatee, then give it back. He'll now happily drink the bile and show you a new face element.
of 10: There are two more face elements to get, both from inanimate objects. One is the figurehead of the shipwreck of the Howler Monkey; stand next to the pool of bile and look up.
of 10: The other is that painting of Fisheyes Alabaster, left of the pile of treasure. It's currently covered in grime, but you know how to fix that, right?
of 10: Use some bile on the painting to reveal how Fisheyes got his name.
of 10: Once you have all those faces, you're ready to play. Choose carefully, and you can win this game in two rounds. Just make sure you pick elements that haven't been used in this particular face-off and you'll win Bugeye's vote, as well as getting three more face elements from Bugeye.
