Okay, done that. Now how do I find Deep Gut?
1 of 4: If you went wandering far afield in the jungle, you may have run across a "Creepy Shack." Go there.
2 of 4: If you didn't, it's not that hard to get to. From the jungle entrance, take the left fork, then go up, up, up to reach it. (This is more or less what the paper Nipperkin gave you shows: one set of footprints left, then three footprints up.) From this point on, it will appear in the overhead map as "Creepy Shack."
3 of 4: Click on the door of the Shack. When it opens, give them the password that Nipperkin gave you:
