Tales of Monkey Island Hints
How do I discredit him?
of 11: Since the charge is, ahem, true this time, you'll need to find some way to convince him to drop the case.
of 11: -- go to the jail, and there he is in the right cell. Talk to him and see what you can find out; he's had some hard times since you saw him last.
of 11: The one thing he really wants (and please, yes, let's give it to him) is a glass eye. But not just any old glass eye; he wants one that looks like the eye of a pox victim in a rage. You know it -- the sclera, the white part of the eye, is all red. Creepy.
of 11: Well, first you need to find someone who can make you a glass eye. Try your one-stop shop for all glass items in Flotsam: the glassblower's shop.
of 11: Handily, the glassblower gives you what he calls a genuine Imitation Eye that will imitate the eye color of anyone you want. So what you need to do now is find a pox victim and send him or her into a rage that lasts long enough for you to set the glass eye.
of 11: All the pox victims in town can be enraged, but only one will hold the rage long enough for you to use the eye. That one is --
of 11: -- the judge.
of 11: Go back into court and make a legal demand of the judge. The first option is "I object." If you've already used that one, it'll be replaced with, "I want a change of venue," and other pseudo-legal requests.
of 11: While the judge is roaring, use the eye on him to get it to change color. Ask for a recess to go back to jail and get back out again, then give the red eye to D'Oro, who gives you a map.
of 11: The next time you're in court, call D'Oro as a witness and use the map on him, and he'll take it from there. Case dismissed.
