Tales of Monkey Island Hints
How do I get Elaine to return to the court?
of 15: Elaine is in the bar fighting Morgan and won't be reasoned with. You need to find a way to compel her -- and frankly, telling Elaine what to do is not Guybrush's strong suit.
of 15: Remember how the pirates got Guybrush to show up in court? They gave you a voodoo summons.
of 15: And luckily, you have one in your pocket for Elaine. All you have to do is get her to take it in her hand --
of 15: -- which is not going to be easy in her current poxy state. You have to find a way to make her take it whether she wants to or not. Try talking to Elaine and Morgan to see what reactions you can get.
of 15: Insulting Morgan makes her threaten you, and Elaine lunges at her, getting her sword stuck in the dartboard. Can we use that?
of 15: If you could put the summons on the dartboard first, Elaine would skewer it, and that might just do the trick. First, however, you have to get the fight moved off the bar.
of 15: Did you notice that Bosun Krebbs is in the bar too? She's sitting next to the buffet table.
of 15: Flirt with Krebbs, and Elaine and Morgan leap over to threaten her, then jump up to fight on the buffet table. And the dartboard is free! --
of 15: -- except W.P. is practicing throwing darts and doesn't want to stop. You need to find something to distract him.
of 15: Order a drink, any drink, and he'll stop throwing darts to fix it for you --
of 15: -- but the drinks on his usual list are all too simple and he's too fast for him to be distracted long enough. You need a more complicated drink.
of 15: There are three slips of paper around the bar with recipes for cocktails. Two are out in the open, and they're for simple drinks, as Guybrush says when he picks them up.
of 15: There's a third that you'll find when you walk in the "Icky Puddle" by the bathroom door, which appears after Krebbs runs in there to hide (when you flirt with her) and then comes back out (when you ask the bartender to make a drink and the fight returns to the bar). Walk into the puddle, then look down to find the third recipe.
of 15: Ask the bartender to make you a Tri-Island Tuna Colada, and while he's busy, put the summons on the dartboard.
of 15: When the girls come back and are fighting on the bar again, insult Morgan again, and Elaine will do the rest herself.
