Tales of Monkey Island Hints
What is insult swordfighting?
1 of 3: This is a concept that dates back to the very first Guybrush Threepwood game.
2 of 3: In the world of Monkey Island, the winner in a sword fight isn't decided by who has the most powerful swing, fastest reflexes or sharpest sword; instead, it's decided by who has the sharpest wits.
3 of 3: In standard insult swordfighting, your opponent will say something insulting and take a swing at you. You then have to come up with a return shot that tops what your opponent said. The example used in the first game was, "You fight like a dairy farmer!" "How appropriate. You fight like a cow!" See how it works?
