Tales of Monkey Island Hints

How do I get the locket down?

  • 1 of 6: Considering you can't physically touch anything at all, you're going to need all the help you can get here. Look around to see what your resources are.
  • 2 of 6: The giant clam next to the seaweed isn't too friendly; when you click on it, it slams shut. Back off and it opens again, belching out an air bubble. That might be helpful if the seaweed was in the right position.
  • 3 of 6: Go toward the cave to find Anemone, one of the androgynous merfolk from Spinner Cay. Anemone is terrified and won't come out; however, conversation reveals some interesting information about Anemone and Winslow that you might be able to use.
  • 4 of 6: Go back up to the raft (go left and look for an "Exit" hotspot overhead) and talk to Winslow about Anemone. Is there anything he can do that might make Anemone leave the cave, even momentarily?
  • 5 of 6: Tell Winslow Anemone wants a letter, and he'll write one, wrap it around a rock, and drop it overboard. Go back down and tell Anemone about the letter, and he/she/it will dart out just long enough to pick up the letter. This makes the seaweed wave.
  • 6 of 6: Click on the clam, then back off. The ensuing air bubble will dislodge the locket's bag and float it up to Winslow for you.
