How do I manipulate inventory items?
To access your inventory, move the mouse to the far right of the screen, and a little triangle will pop up; click on it to open the inventory window. You can also open the inventory window by pressing the mouse wheel, if you have one.
To get a closer look at an inventory item, open the inventory window, then click on the magnifying glass at the top of the window to turn the cursor into a magnifying glass. Click this glass on the inventory item you want to examine to get Guybrush's comments on it or see it up close. This only works for one item at a time, so you'll have to reselect the magnifying glass every time.
To combine two items, click on each item and drag it into the circles at the left side of the inventory window. Click on the plus sign between the two circles to combine them. If you hear a clank and the items don't change, they can't combine, or at least not yet.
To use an item with the environment or a person, left-click on it in the inventory window to turn the cursor into the object. Click outside the inventory window to close it, then click the item on the thing or person you want to use it on. If the item can't be used like this, Guybrush will tell you so.
