Flashbacks to previous games
Throughout the game, but particularly at the beginning before things start to get serious, there are all kinds of things you can click on to get little sound bites from the previous games. If you played them obsessively as I did, these are a delight; if you didn't play the earlier games, these may make you want to go find them.
