3 of 9: When you do this, you see that the cards are now numbered 1 through 9, and there's a large 17 in the center of a triangular arrangement. Can you intuit what your assignment is here?
4 of 9: This is a sort of magic triangle (like the magic square puzzles you see so often). There's a way to arrange the cards so that each side adds up to 17. Read to the end of this hint for one way to do this.
5 of 9: Remember, the cards in the corners are used twice; that is, whichever card you put in the top slot will be used to add up to 17 on the right side and on the left side too.
6 of 9: Personally I hate arithmetic puzzles; I have difficulty believing that numbers are important, so I tend to add things up differently every time I do a sum.
