Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure Hints

How do I adjust the frequency the first time?

  • 1 of 9: This is what that card you got from the satellite was talking about. Time to put it into practice.
  • 2 of 9: The goal is to get all three oscilloscope lines to turn blue, and you need to do that three times. And you need to do it in two minutes, which is annoying but possible.
  • 3 of 9: The left knob determines the frequency of the line (how far apart the hills are), the middle knob determines amplitude (how high the hills are), and the right knob determines which of the three oscilloscopes you're working on.
  • 4 of 9: Slowly turn the left knob until the line on the first oscilloscope turns yellow, then slowly turn the middle knob until the line turns blue.
  • 5 of 9: Now use the right knob to change to the second oscilloscope and repeat the process.
  • 6 of 9: Do it one more time for the third oscilloscope, and you've just lit the first of three lights.
  • 7 of 9: Repeat the process two more times. Tedious, but it gets easier the more you do it.
  • 8 of 9: The green and yellow light at the top of the box shows you how much time you have left; when it reaches 15 seconds, it give a very loud warning honk. If you don't get all three lights lit within the time allotted --
  • 9 of 9: -- it zeros out and you have to start all over again. Annoying! But don't give up; you're almost there.
