Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure Hints

Neter (Pennant)

  • 1 of 10: The neter, which looks like a little flag, means "divine," in case you wondered. This one is in a small secret room off the dining room.
  • 2 of 10: To find the secret room, take a close look at the wine rack on the right wall.
  • 3 of 10: The sign at the right says 1879, and when Tex reads it, he repeats that number slowly as if it's significant.
  • 4 of 10: And so it is. How could you use wine racks to represent that number?
  • 5 of 10: Note that there are four columns, and each column has 9 rows. Coincidence? I don't think so.
  • 6 of 10: There are two possible ways to do this; either the rows start with 1 at the bottom, or they start with 1 at the top.
  • 7 of 10: In this case, the top bottle is 1, and the bottom bottle is 9. Press in bottle 1 in the first column, 8 in the second, 7 in the third, and 9 in the fourth.
  • 8 of 10: Now you're in the secret room, and ... it's empty. Hmm.
  • 9 of 10: Ah, but there is something here -- a sconce against the right wall.
  • 10 of 10: Pull the sconce to reveal a gorgeous mosaic. The neter symbol is under the horse's belly at the left.
