Who killed Maldonado?
I was puzzled by this at first. Mason was gone by then, and Tex was knocked out. If it was Slade, why didn't he take the cryo chamber? Who closed the secret door?
Now I think I have the answer. See all the bullet holes around the door? At some point in the process of getting Margaret's head, putting it in the cryo chamber, and getting back to the room above the Electronic Shop, Maldonado took a stray bullet from one of the attackers. It didn't kill him instantly, however, and he managed to get back into the secret room and close the door. And while he was in there with his gun pointed at the door, waiting for them to find him, that's when he died.
There's no real evidence for it, but it fits the evidence, so let's say it's so.
