Team Fortress Classic Hints
What route should I take?
of 8: Of the 3, the Ramp route is the simplest since you can usually avoid being caught in narrow passages.
of 8: When played well by the enemy, the Ruins can be almost impassable. With all of the various crevices and shadows for the snipers to hide in, it's best to go through the Ruins only on occassion.
of 8: The Vent is a really tricky route to take, since you are really putting yourself at risk by going into it. If the exit to the main garage is covered well and the lower-level of Storage Area 3 is covered as well, then it is a viable option. Otherwise, don't waste the effort.
of 8: You really have to just combine different routes. The Ramp should be your default. The Ruins should be your secondary. And the Vent should be your wildcard.
of 8: Take the Ramp if it seems to be working. If you are getting picked off each time you go up the Ramp, switch to something else.
of 8: The Ruins is the other option, albeit a dangerous one. But if the enemy snipers are covering the Ramp, the Ruins will usually be clear.
of 8: If things are getting ridiculous, and both the Ramp and the Ruins are covered well, take the Vent route to confuse the enemy snipers.
of 8: Change routes on a regular basis regardless of whether or not the enemies have caught on. Also, vary the ways in which you take the routes. For example, sometimes run along the exterior of Building 1 instead of going through it. Or take the sewers in the middle of the Main Road. Either way, you end up in the Alley. But you also confuse your enemies this way.
