Where should I snipe the Ruins from?
1 of 3: The first place to snipe from is in the little room connecting the alley and the actual entrance of the Ruins. There are some boxes against the one wall. Directly opposite the actual entrance to the Ruins, some boxes are missing. Back into the crevice left by the missing boxes and snipe anyone who tries to go into the Ruins.
2 of 3: Secondly, sniping the Ruins from anywhere above the area will give you a major advantage. Snipe from the roof and from the level between the roof and the ground. There are numerous shadowed positions and slants in this area due to the composition of the area itself. All of the rubble provides for a lot of simple, yet useful, sniping positions.
3 of 3: Third, snipe the Ruins' exit ramp from the mid-level as well. There is a door to a respawn room on the mid-level. Just to the left (when leaving the respawn room) of that door is a small semi-room that kind of overlooks the Ruins. However, there is a wall in the way. There is a small crack in the wall that allows you to see through to the exit ramp of the Ruins. Crouch and snipe from through the crack. Hide your sight on the wall to the left and wait for an unsuspecting victim to run up the ramp. It's just a simple shot from there.
