Team Fortress Classic Hints
How do we get inside the enemy base?
1 of 7: The bases in the Well tend to be much more difficult to get in and out of. That is, assuming the proper defenses are set up.
2 of 7: There are two ways in: the main door or the sewer system.
3 of 7: You've usually got enemy snipers well positioned in the enemy overlook or on the rooftop as well as in the field, taking shots at your teammates before they get to the door. Many times the water isn't too safe either, as the enemy will probably be using it too.
4 of 7: A good spy will totally change the way the level is played. Obviously, he can disable the enemies sentry guns and stab the snipers, but his best move in this level is to go after the flag.
5 of 7: Get a spy into the base. He will have to clear the base of sentry guns and heavy defenses in order to get out alive. Then, he should go for the flag and try to make it out. By now, with defenses down, some enemies should be falling back. Some of your teammates should try and get into the base now and help keep the base defenses from being rebuilt. If the flag is dropped, one of them should go after it.
6 of 7: Any other spies should get into the base and just feign death until they get a chance to take out a sentry or grab the flag.
7 of 7: If you are a spy and you really don't feel like grabbing the flag and bringing it home, coordinate with a scout who is better off doing the job. Clear the route for him and then let him grab the flag while you remain.
