Team Fortress Classic Hints
My team already has a decent flagrunner. What can I do?
1 of 6: Well, the scout is an important Recon unit. He is very fast. Faster than any other player class.
2 of 6: Therefore, scout around the enemy base. Listen for sentry guns or look at the enemy's defensive set up. Report back to your team whenever you can.
3 of 6: Describe the different members of the other team. For example, say something like "1 HWGuy in flagroom, 3 Snipers on roof..." Obviously, players will change classes from time to time so you will have to make trips to the other side every so often.
4 of 6: You can also uncover spies and disarm detpacks.
5 of 6: Run into everyone you pass by and run over corpses. If you see anything that says "Scout found an enemy spy!" pop up (with your nickname substituted in for "Scout") then the last person you ran into was an enemy spy. Inform your team where he may be.
6 of 6: If the level you are playing has detpack sensitive areas, like The Rock or The Well, stick around and wait in the shadows for an enemy demoman to plant a detpack. Once it is set, run up and touch it to deactivate it.
