Is there any way off this first screen?

  • 1 of 9: First, walk down a short walkway in the middle of the screen towards a door. The screen should change to show you a close-up of April looking into an abyss.  If you haven't been to this view, you won't be able to go very far on this screen -- even though there's no logical reason why you can't.  Once you're there, just walk back to the rest of the labyrinth.
  • 2 of 9: While you don't strictly have to do this now, you might want to figure out what the begging gargoyle wants.
  • 3 of 9: Now, look at the gargoyle holding a hourglass.
  • 4 of 9: Use the hourglass, and a set of stairs will appear briefly.  You need to make your way up the stairs quickly.
  • 5 of 9: Then, look at the door just at the top of the stairs.
  • 6 of 9: Knock on it twice and another hourglass will appear.
  • 7 of 9: A gap in the path should close temporarily.
  • 8 of 9: You should know what to do if you've already gotten up the stairs.
  • 9 of 9: Double-click to run again.  Get to the door and open it to reach the next screen.
