The Longest Journey Hints
How do I get the knobs aligned?
1 of 6: Each of the two screws above the knobs has a different function. Experiment with them to see what they do.
2 of 6: Also pay attention to the red and green lights beneath the knobs.
3 of 6: The screw on the left side of the screen (called "right screw" when I played the game) moves the red light. Then, when you turn the other screw, the three knobs with the green lights will each rotate 45 degrees.
4 of 6: You are supposed to line up the knobs horizontally (like this: -- -- -- --).
5 of 6: You can work on the knobs one at a time from left to right, ignoring all of the other knobs to the right. You don't necessarily need to make all of the knobs horizontal -- just try to get them all in the same position (like: | | | | or / / / /).
6 of 6: Once you get them all in the same position, click on the left switch once, then the right switch once, again and again, until they're all horizontal.
