1 of 6: Why not run after the thief to see what he's going to do?
2 of 6: When you do, he'll come back out of the "Nuclear Cafe" building he went in and you'll run right through him as if he were a ghost! (However, that's just a slight game glitch, and doesn't help you at all.)
3 of 6: If you follow him back to the place where he and Big Mike were hanging around, you'll find that they split, bro.
4 of 6: However, did you notice that Juan came out of the Nuclear Cafe carrying something new? He probably traded in your messenger for that.
5 of 6: So to get your messenger back, you'll have to figure out how to get into the Nuclear Cafe.
6 of 6: After you're in and Peter gripes at Lou for a bit, you can exit the conversation and pick up your messenger from on the small cafe table a bit to the right of Lou.
