The Moment of Silence Hints
How am I supposed to figure out what three settings I want?
of 10: You're going to want to make the place habitable by Peter, so try changing the settings to be the same as Earth-normal.
of 10: To find out what that is, look up "atmosphere" in an encyclopedia.
of 10: Or go to Peter's cabin and mess with the ventilation system.
of 10: If you jam the towel into the air shaft over the door and then press button #3 on the wall, the computer will tell you the normal values.
of 10: However you get the info, you should learn that it's 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other.
of 10: SCIENCE NOTE: The "1% other" isn't just carbon dioxide like the computer in the game says, but also includes other gases such as argon, neon, and krypton.
of 10: So set the panel near the Sector B elevator to those settings.
of 10: The displays aren't labeled according to which one represents which gas, so just guess.
of 10: You'll eventually find that the lower left display is for oxygen, the top left one for nitrogen, and the top right one for other.
of 10: As for any logic behind that, I suppose that sort of reflects the fact that Earth's atmosphere is usually described as an oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere (with the words in that order).
