The Omega Stone Hints

How do I find the underground passageways?

  • 1 of 14: The underground passageways are not accessible from any of the principal structures around El Castillo.
  • 2 of 14: You might want to take a stroll a little ways away from the crowd, and relax a bit.
  • 3 of 14: Explore around the edge of the open area.
  • 4 of 14: You should find a long open pathway leading directly away from El Castillo.
  • 5 of 14: Go to the end of the pathway, and you will come to a low stone wall.
  • 6 of 14: Explore this area.
  • 7 of 14: It looks like you've found a Mayan cenote -- a water-filled limestone sinkhole.
  • 8 of 14: Cenotes provided a stable water supply for the Mayan people -- and were often created by the erosion of ground over a cavern.  Looks like there might be some serious underground caverns here, if we could only get down there to check.
  • 9 of 14: But you won't be able to just climb down there.
  • 10 of 14: Perhaps you could rappel down -- if you had a rope... and some way to anchor it.
  • 11 of 14: Use the grappling hook on the pool side of the low stone wall.  (You'll need to have your back to the pool at the time.)
  • 12 of 14: When it attaches, you will have a rope that you can climb down.
  • 13 of 14: Look at the stone wall when you get to the bottom of the rope.
  • 14 of 14: There is a small passage that you can climb into.  This is the beginning of the underground passageways.
