Tomb Raider 2 Hints
How do I get close to the spikes?
of 9: Some creative jumping will allow you to land on the windowsill just outside the spiked room.
of 9: Start by jumping to your right from the entrance of the level (facing with your back to the entrance).
of 9: Then, look for a flat ledge ahead and to your left, which is in between a couple of slanted roofs.
of 9: You want to head for that ledge.
of 9: With a bit of practice in your aim, you can land directly on the ledge. I'd recommend saving your game at this point and trying to land on the ledge. If you land on any of the slanted roofs, you'll start sliding down and eventually land in the water below -- and it's a long way back to this point. (It is possible in some cases to grab hold of the slanted roof just to the left of the ledge, but I found it easier to try to land on the flat surface from the start.)
of 9: You're now more or less above the window to the room with the spikes on the floor.
of 9: Grab hold of the edge of the ledge (use ACTION and walk backwards), and then slide to the left a bit until you're directly over the window.
of 9: Try to grab onto the sill.
of 9: Let go of the roof, and then press ACTION as soon as you start falling. If you're quick enough, you'll grab hold of the window sill. You can then climb back up and shoot your way through the window.
