Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints
How do I get into the area in the center of the main lake?
1 of 12: That area is walled off, with a closed gate on its west side keeping you from getting inside.
2 of 12: Explore the area near the lake, and you may eventually find a chain that lets you open that gate.
3 of 12: From your starting position on this level, take the ramp that leads you into the lake and then swim to the other side. Then, turn right (to the north) and follow the shore until it leads you to a room north of the lake.
4 of 12: Once you're through the door into that room and have fought off a couple of bats, go to the far (north) end of the room, and take the large stone steps down to a lower section. Turn around so that you're facing several large stone blocks that are slanting towards the water below you. You should also see several poles running up and down.
5 of 12: You want to get onto those poles.
6 of 12: In particular, head for the pole that's in the center of the room.
7 of 12: Keep walking to the center pole until you're as close as you can get without sliding down any ramps. Two large stone blocks should be to either side of you. Now, step off the edge and slide down the ramp towards the central pole.
8 of 12: Jump while you're still on the ramp, and if you time things right, you should be able to grab onto the center pole.
9 of 12: You now want to head for the other pole (which was to your right as you were sliding down the ramp).
10 of 12: Start by climbing to the top of the pole that you're on -- and remember to keep holding the ACTION key. Then, with your back to the other pole, press the JUMP key, and Lara will backflip to the platform with the second pole.
11 of 12: Climb that second pole to the top and backflip to a block that will be behind you as you're facing the first pole.
12 of 12: From there, go into a raised crawlspace, and follow the path until you find a chain. Pull it to open the gate that leads to the center of the main lake.
