I've opened that door, and now, a spirit is following me!
1 of 4: Yep.
2 of 4: And there's nothing that any of your weapons will do to damage it.
3 of 4: You'll find that these white spirits (as opposed to the fire spirits) are attracted to a certain kind of object. Explore the area behind the door and you may find it on your own, or read ahead to the next hint for the answer.
4 of 4: Look for a winged statue. You can find one by going through either of the open doorways just past the door you opened with the column. Wait around for a few seconds and the spirit should jump into the statue.
