Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints
How do I open the door in the first real room I find?
of 8: First, realize that the door through which you enter this room will shut behind you after a while. Once it closes, there's no way to open it again -- this question refers to the door that leads deeper into the level.
of 8: As you enter that room, take a look to your right. There's a passage that leads to a room below the one you first entered.
of 8: There will be a large pit below you when you first enter that lower room. Look on the other side of that pit, and you should see some kind of object that you might be able to take.
of 8: You could try to drop into the pit and climb back up on the other side, but the wall on the far side is too high for you to reach the top.
of 8: The key to getting across that pit is back in the room on the upper level.
of 8: If he isn't there already, wait until your guide enters that room. When he does, a block in the southwest corner of the upper room (i.e., ahead of you and to your left as you first enter) will lower, revealing a couple of scorpions and a niche in the wall.
of 8: Go up to the niche and use it by pressing the ACTION key.
of 8: This will fill the pit in the room below with sand. You can now cross the sand and take the eye piece from its pedestal. The door out of the upper room will be open when you return.
