Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints

How can I get rid of the large guard with the hammer?

  • 1 of 11: Well, you can't kill him, but you can find a way to get him out of your hair for a while.
  • 2 of 11: First of all, if you haven't explored the rest of this level yet, you may want to consider doing so.  As soon as you walk near the guard, he can roam the entire western half of the level, so it's to your advantage to leave him alone for as long as you can.
  • 3 of 11: In particular, find a way across the pit on the street (don't bypass the street by going through the building) and find a way to the upper levels of the main building.
  • 4 of 11: If you got to the top level of the building, you should have found a lever on the north side that closed all the doors into and out of that building.
  • 5 of 11: This lever only keeps the doors closed for a little while, and then they open back up.  If the doors don't close the second time you pull the lever, it's probably because they opened automatically.  Pull it a third time, and the doors should close.
  • 6 of 11: Use that lever to trap the guard in the building long enough that you can get away.  But before you do, you may want to make sure your motorcycle is parked south of the building.
  • 7 of 11: Once you've closed the doors, there will still be another exit.
  • 8 of 11: Take a look at the rope hanging from what passes for a ceiling in this building.
  • 9 of 11: Jump on it and swing to the south side.
  • 10 of 11: You'll first need to take a running jump from the lever on the north side to a ledge on the west of the building (to your right as you're facing the center of the room).  From there, do a running jump from the point on the ledge closest to the rope.
  • 11 of 11: You can then do the usual swinging and land on the top-level ledge on the south.  A ramp there takes you out to the front of the building.  You can now head to the exit before the doors open and the guard starts to roam, but hurry, since you don't have a whole lot of extra time.
