Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints
How can I get past the second machine gun on this level?
1 of 7: The machine gun will be just around the corner as you're coming to the end of a hallway, and once you get near it, the gun will do a very good job of killing you very quickly.
2 of 7: But you don't need to go all the way down the hallway.
3 of 7: About halfway down and to the west (your left as you're approaching the gun) is a crawlspace.
4 of 7: You'll have to go through some steam bursts along the way (which you can usually time your way past) and face a guard who's probably shooting at you, but you do want to go through that crawlspace.
5 of 7: I sometimes found it helped to go a little way into the crawlspace until the guard started shooting at me. After that, I backed out, and the guard seemed to get stuck "following" me. But he never actually entered the crawlspace, so he just stood at the very edge and couldn't shoot me.
6 of 7: In any case, once you kill the guard on the other side of the crawlspace, climb a box and look to the east (in the opposite direction after you've just climbed the box) for another window onto the back end of that second machine gun.
7 of 7: After you've destroyed the machine gun, feel free to use your revolver to take care of the guard in the hallway. Either way, you can't go through the space you used to shoot the machine gun -- you need to go back out through the crawlspace with the steam.
