Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints

How do I can pull the chain in the room north of the four pieces?

  • 1 of 10: You can't pull that chain when it's even partially underwater.
  • 2 of 10: Basically, you just need to pull some levers, and in the appropriate order, and the water will start to drain out of this area.  Trial and error can probably get you through this puzzle if you're patient enough, but if you want an answer, read ahead.
  • 3 of 10: Start by going through the door on the west side of the room with the four pieces.  You can climb up and then go down through a trap door to reach an underwater area.  (You can also reach that area if you swim from the chain, if you'd rather get there that way.)
  • 4 of 10: Go through the passageway at the south end of that underwater area to find a switch in the ceiling.  This will cause the trap door above this area to close.
  • 5 of 10: Now, you should swim out to the north (into the room with the chain), go back to the room with the four pieces, and head through the door to the east.
  • 6 of 10: A lever in the room beyond that door will close a door in the pipe in the underwater room, causing the water level to lower a bit.
  • 7 of 10: Note that this lever only works if you've already pulled the underwater switch.  If you haven't done so, go back and pull that switch first.  (You may then need to pull the eastern lever twice, once to reset it to its original position and again to lower the water.)
  • 8 of 10: Now, you can go back through the chain room and take the underwater passage back to the area that you used to be able to reach from the trap door.
  • 9 of 10: Look to the west in that area -- you can now climb out to pull a lever that used to be underwater.  This will cause the rest of the water in this area to drain.
  • 10 of 10: Go back down the passage to the chain room (no longer under water).  You can now pull the chain and move onto the next room.
