What are the two interactive metal posts on the tree for?

  • 1 of 13: Check the enigma for a tree reference.
  • 2 of 13: After the line that refers to the tree, you see references to a heart, bone, and a skull.
  • 3 of 13: Also, the skull line should remind you of a story by Edgar Allan Poe called "The Gold Bug."
  • 4 of 13: You need to set up something similar here.
  • 5 of 13: There's no skull on the tree yet, so you'll have to hang one on the metal posts.
  • 6 of 13: If you don't have a skull yet, you'll need to enter the Hollow Head area and figure out what to do with its map.
  • 7 of 13: After you finish with the map, the parrot will reveal a large ram's skull with a heart painted on it.
  • 8 of 13: Take it and try hanging it on the lone tree.
  • 9 of 13: It won't work at first. Looking at the skull and the two hangar posts on the tree, see if you can figure out why.
  • 10 of 13: The skull is missing its horns, and that's what it needs to hang by.
  • 11 of 13: Fortunately, you've got two ram horns already.
  • 12 of 13: Use the left and right ram horns on the skull in inventory.
  • 13 of 13: Then hang the completed ram skull on the tree.
