How can I get rid of the two pirates at the fort?

  • 1 of 15: Look carefully at the cart that one of them is sitting on.
  • 2 of 15: You can get a "go-to" cursor by pointing at the back end of the cart, so try clicking there.
  • 3 of 15: That'll give you an idea of how to dispose of that pirate after the other one is taken care of.
  • 4 of 15: As for the other one, look at the table that's near him.
  • 5 of 15: There are three items on that table, including a powderhorn and a tobacco pouch.
  • 6 of 15: Notice that the pirate has a pipe in his hand.
  • 7 of 15: What if you were to rig up an explosive surprise for him the next time he uses the tobacco pouch to refill his pipe?
  • 8 of 15: If you could snatch the powderhorn and tobacco pouch undetected, you could put some gunpowder in the tobacco pouch and then put it back on the table.
  • 9 of 15: After you get both the powderhorn and tobacco pouch in inventory, notice that the powderhorn can be "disassembled."
  • 10 of 15: However, don't do that, since it'll just empty the powderhorn uselessly. If you've already done this, you'll need to refill the powderhorn before proceeding.
  • 11 of 15: Using the full powderhorn on the tobacco pouch will get you a booby-trapped tobacco pouch.
  • 12 of 15: Now you need to put the booby-trapped pouch back on the table.
  • 13 of 15: Use it on the fishing pole in inventory, then use the combo item on the table to get that done.
  • 14 of 15: As soon as the pouch is placed, you'll get the cut-scene in which both pirates are rendered unconscious.
  • 15 of 15: You can't depend on them staying unconscious forever, though, so you'd better tie them up.
