How can I get the block loose from the broken-off mast?

  • 1 of 6: NOTE: This only applies if you arrived at Emerald Island by crashing at Cape Fear instead of landing at the Flowery Coast.
  • 2 of 6: Clicking on the block will reveal that it's still firmly tied to the broken-off mast.
  • 3 of 6: As Jim suggests, you'll need a good knife to cut it loose with.
  • 4 of 6: There's a rusty knife nearby.
  • 5 of 6: You'll have to fix it up before you can use it to cut the block's rope, though.
  • 6 of 6: Use your new knife on the block to cut it loose, then click on it to pick it up.
