The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal Hints
The Summoner
1 of 7: You can get this quest by talking about "latest rumors" to Drathas Reyas in the Great Bazaar. He'll tell you about a powerful wizard named "something-or-another" Velas that everyone's afraid of.
2 of 7: A bit later, after you leave and reenter, you'll be attacked by a wizard named Ovis Velas. But he's hardly very powerful -- most characters can kill him quickly and then take the worn key on his body.
3 of 7: Report back to Drathas, and he'll send you to Velas Mansion in Godsreach.
4 of 7: The key you found earlier will unlock the door.
5 of 7: Go inside, where you'll find a different Velas, this one named Gavin. He'll attack pretty much as soon as you talk to him about his "unfortunate brother" -- summoning Golden Saints and other Daedra along the way. (If you have any soul gems on you, don't forget that Golden Saints are very useful for constant effect items, so try to Soul Trap them if you can.)
6 of 7: The fight's a little tough but not impossible. You can go after Velas directly, since killing him will make his summoned creatures disappear as well.
7 of 7: When he's dead, pick up the Flamemirror Robe, which you can use to get temporary 20-40% Resist Fire and 20-30% Reflect effects.
