The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal Hints

Where can I find some Pyroil Tar?

  • 1 of 7: Radac said there should be some in the Citadel of Myn Dhrur in the Norenen-dur Daedric ruins.
  • 2 of 7: The Passage of the Walker has another one of those cave-ins, just like you cleared in Radac's Forge earlier in the game.
  • 3 of 7: And you should still have one Dwemer satchel left in the (perhaps now unlocked) treasure room one hallway to the south of that first cave-in.  Pick it up, then click on the cave-in that's in the Passage of the Walker to open up a path to Norenen-dur.
  • 4 of 7: I found Norenen-dur to be fairly easy after all of the other battles I had to go through to get here, but in any case, there isn't much to do besides fight your way to the Citadel map section.
  • 5 of 7: From the main Norenen-dur map, take the eastern exit to The Teeth That Gnash, and then head up the stairs to the north there to reach the Citadel of Myn Dhrur.
  • 6 of 7: Defeat the Dremora Lord named Khash-Ti Dhrur in this section, and he'll have a Pyroil Tar on his corpse.
  • 7 of 7: Alternatively, if you feel you need to skip this fight or just can't find Mr. Dhrur, you could levitate up to the top of the Citadel to reach The Wailingdelve.  Then, once you're there, levitate almost all the way down to the bottom of the waterfall, until you're able to swim underwater.  You'll find two bottles on rocks or platforms just *above* water level.
